The Ballaarat Mechanics' Institute, located in the heart of the cultural and business district of Ballarat city, offers a range of versatile spaces for hire. The Humffray Room, a beautifully restored heritage room, (1869) is on the second level of the BMI overlooking Sturt Street. The room is ideal for conference and training, forums, small wedding ceremonies and receptions, parties and recitals. The room has a bar/servery, carpeted floor with small dance floor, projection facilities plus PA system. It is also utilised as a breakout room for the larger Minerva Space for catering or pre-function food and drinks. The room is serviced by a preparation kitchen and has stairs or lift access.
